How it works
It opens with a push in both directions and returns by itself to position
It is the door for those whose hands are full. A waiter coming out with four plates, a warehouse worker with a cardboard box, a cook with a baking pan: in those moments, a door with a handle is an obstacle; it has to be opened, held, and closed again. A swinging door you just walk through.
The work is done by a single component: double-action spring hinges, which allow rotation in both directions and return the leaf to its resting position after passage. For this reason, the door typically has neither a handle nor a lock.
It is also the limit of the system, and it is fair to know this: a pocket door does not lock and does not insulate like a swing door. It serves to separate and to let people pass, not to protect.

Full or partial Frame: you can see it, and it makes a big difference
The full frame covers all four sides of the wall opening and closes the opening like a regular door. The partial frame is installed only on the hinge side: it costs less, installs faster, and leaves the wall opening exposed on the other three sides.
