FIP Porte è un’Italian company that makes custom doors in Capo d'Orlando, in Sicily, since 1969. Every line has its own standard sizes: outside those, we work to the opening you measure.
Dal 1969 facciamo porte a Capo d’Orlando, e le facciamo con le stesse mani.
Un’azienda di famiglia: tre generazioni di titolari e la squadra che sta alle macchine, nello stesso reparto, in Sicilia.
From 1969 to today, step by step
The first laboratory
FIP was founded in 1969 thanks to the vision of Antonino Conforto, who knew how to seize the opportunities of the Italian building boom. Since its early years, the company has specialized in industrial production of interior doors, combining craftsmanship e capacità produttiva: due cose che di solito vanno in direzioni opposte e che qui hanno imparato a convivere. Da allora il posto non è cambiato, e nemmeno la famiglia: quella del cognome e quella che ogni mattina accende le macchine.
A family, three generations
First the sons came in, then the grandchildren, and with them came una gamma più larga e macchine nuove. Driven by the second and third generations l’azienda ha allargato la gamma e si è fatta conoscere fuori dalla Sicilia, senza spostare di un centimetro il modo di lavorare: la produzione resta a Capo d’Orlando, e ogni porta continua a nascere su misura. Oggi in FIP lavorano quaranta persone, e fra i falegnami c’è chi ha quarant’anni di mestiere.
The company goes online
FIP Enters the World of e-commerce. It is the transition that takes artisanal production beyond the boundaries of local word-of-mouth, placing it before a customer who could be anywhere in Italy.
Porteitaliane is born
The Porte Italiane project is born, a proprietary online brand that has allowed us to bring our quality throughout Italy.
Among the Stelle del Sud
FIP enters the Stelle del Sud ranking by Il Sole 24 Ore, created in collaboration with Statista, which selects the 200 companies in Southern Italy with the best growth performance. There are three criteria, all based on numbers, not opinions: increase in revenue, growth in the number of employees, and investments in tangible and intangible fixed assets. In the 2020–2023 period, FIP ranks at 156th place.
Confirmed among the two hundred
The confirmation in the next edition, for the three-year period 2021-2024. Remaining in a ranking built on growth means only one thing: that growth has continued.
A complete range, all custom-made

Su misura vuol dire sul vano rilevato
Ogni linea ha le sue misure standard. Quando il vano non rientra in quelle, la porta si produce sul rilievo: è questo che intendiamo per porta su misura.
Accanto alle porte per interni produciamo le technical doors: tagliafuoco, acustiche, per comunità e per ambienti sanitari, dove la prestazione da rispettare è scritta in capitolato.
Progettazione, produzione e finitura si fanno nello stesso reparto, e chi ordina parla con chi produce.

We design the doors and we build them, in the same workshop.
Every line has its standard sizes. When the opening doesn’t fit them, the door is made to the measured opening, and that work is done here.
Solid timber frame clad in 3 mm water-repellent HDF, door leaf up to 44 mm with a honeycomb core in recycled board, and architraves shaped by folding. Sono numeri, e stanno sulle schede tecniche: chi ordina parla con chi produce, e i millimetri se li può controllare.
