Opening Series Glass
Wooden doors with opening glass
The solidity of wood meets the lightness of glass.

Divides the spaces, not the light
A wall simply separates. A solid door separates and blocks out light. A door with opening glass does the former without doing the latter: it retains the weight and solidity of wood, while incorporating one or more panels through which light continues to pass.
It is a design choice rather than a product choice. Wood provides the structure, while glass decides how much light to let in and how much privacy to keep: from transparent, which hides nothing, to frosted, which leaves only the glow.
Every door is custom-built to the opening specifications: the number of panels, their shape, and their dimensions are all part of the design, not part of a catalog of fixed models.
The structure
Solid wood. It is the most solid and heaviest construction: you can feel it in your hand when the door moves.
A core of wooden slats enclosed between the panels. It holds its shape and lightens the structure without sacrificing rigidity.
Perimeter frame and internal filling, with the panels closing it off. It is the lightest solution.
The models
Nine doors of the series
These are the doors with opening glass already in the catalogue, photographed in the finish indicated below each one. The panel varies from one door to another: it’s the point where you decide where the light passes through.

Glass
Five ways to let the light through
Glass is the variable that changes the perception of the door the most, along with the level of privacy between the two rooms.
Full light and unobstructed view. The door is visible, and what is behind it is as well.
The surface is opaque: light passes through, not the image. It is the most requested compromise between light and privacy.
The glass features an etched design. There are 58 in the catalogue, ranging from geometric patterns to figures.
Dark glass. It subdues the light and adds depth to the frame, especially on light finishes.
Glass enters the environmental palette instead of staying out of it.
Among the series' glass options is also the frosted safety glass, pictured in the model above.
